Confirm the setup order before you begin
ikVPN uses two parts: the user panel and a local client. The user panel handles account creation, plan selection, subscription access, and service management. The local client reads the servers in your subscription and establishes the connection on your device. Installing only the client will not automatically add ikVPN servers; choosing a plan in the panel without configuring a client will not change your device’s network connection.
Before you begin, decide which device you will mainly use and make sure your browser can open the user panel normally. Create the account, choose a plan, and get the subscription in your browser, then switch to the client after copying the link. This avoids repeatedly looking for options across apps and makes it easier to see which step you are on.
Create an account and save your sign-in details
Open the account creation page, choose an easy-to-recognize username, and set a password used only for ikVPN. No email address is required. After submitting, you will enter the user panel. When you see the account overview, plan, or subscription section, the account is ready to use. To sign in on another device, use the same username and password.
Your username and password manage plans, subscriptions, and later service actions, so consider saving them in a trusted password manager. Do not treat the sign-in password and subscription link as the same item: the password opens the panel, while the subscription link lets the client read the server configuration. They serve different purposes and should not be pasted into each other’s fields.
If you remain on the same page after submitting, check for a format message beside the username field and confirm that the password was entered completely. Do not create multiple accounts to solve the same issue. If you cannot confirm the account status, return to the sign-in page and try the username and password you just set. Once you can open the account overview, continue to plan selection.
Choose a plan based on how you use data
After signing in, open the Plans page and decide whether you need recurring monthly data or prefer to use a package gradually over time. Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB; data resets monthly on the activation date. Data packages include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB; they remain valid until used and never expire.
If you regularly visit international websites, use AI Tools, or watch Streaming services, a monthly subscription is usually easier to manage on a fixed cycle. If your usage varies, with heavier and lighter months, a data package may better suit cumulative use. All plans support unlimited simultaneous devices, so compare the data model rather than selecting based on device count.
After selecting a plan, the page shows the amount and payment options. Available methods include Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Before submitting, confirm whether you chose a monthly subscription or a data package and check that the data tier is correct. After payment, return to Account Overview to check the status. Copy the subscription only after the plan shows as active, so you do not create repeated orders while the status is still updating. If you are not satisfied after your first payment, the applicable full-refund promise allows returns within 14 days; see the Plans page and Terms for the process.
Copy the subscription link from Account Overview
After your plan becomes active, open Account Overview and find the subscription information section. The page typically offers options to copy the subscription, view its status, or open the client area. Click Copy to place the link on your system clipboard. Then open a compatible client on your device and import the configuration from the link; you do not need to enter country, city, or server names one by one.
The subscription link is tied to your account and should be protected like sign-in credentials. Do not post it on public pages, in group-chat screenshots, or in shared documents, and do not give it to an untrusted website for conversion. To use it on another device, sign in to the user panel there and copy it again, or transfer it through a trusted device-to-device clipboard feature.
The example in this guide is only meant to show the link format, such as https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN; it is not a usable subscription address. In practice, copy only the link displayed for your account in the user panel. If the client reports empty content after copying, return to Account Overview, confirm that the plan is still active, and click Copy again instead of editing the link.
Import the subscription on your current device
At the import stage, choose a client that is compatible with your operating system and supports link-based subscriptions. Installing a client and obtaining a subscription are separate actions: you can find and obtain clients through the client section of the user panel; this guide does not provide direct links to static installers. After installation, use the relevant platform section to find the import option.
Windows: Add a configuration from a subscription URL
Open a Windows client that supports link-based subscriptions. Look for the “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or “Config Files” page, then choose the option to add from a URL. Paste the copied subscription link in full, optionally enter a recognizable name, and confirm. Return to the configuration list and update or refresh it. When servers appear by region, the subscription has been read successfully.
Some Windows clients show the connection switch and system proxy switch separately. For first-time setup, select a server and enable the system connection as prompted by the client. If the system asks for network permission, allow the configuration; otherwise, the client may show the server as selected while browser traffic still does not use the connection.
macOS: Allow network configuration after import
In a macOS client, open configuration or subscription management, choose Add remote subscription, and paste the link copied from the user panel. Save it and run an update, then wait for the region and server lists to appear. If macOS asks whether the client may add a network configuration, confirm as instructed. This system permission is required to establish the connection; without it, the next connection step usually cannot be completed.
After a successful import, select the target region in the client’s main window. Do not run multiple network tools that provide the same connection function at the same time. If a client status icon appears in the menu bar, use it to quickly check the current server and connection state. To change servers, switch within the same client; importing the subscription again is unnecessary.
Android: Add a subscription and allow connection access
Open a compatible Android client. On the Configuration, Subscription, or Config Files page, tap Add, choose Import from link, and paste the subscription address. Save it, return to the list, and refresh to confirm that regional servers appear. The first time you connect, Android displays a system authorization window for the network connection. Read the prompt and allow the client to establish the connection; without this permission, the client cannot manage network traffic on the device.
If the connection often drops after the screen has been locked for a while, check the client’s background activity and battery-saving settings in the system settings. Menu locations vary by device manufacturer, so this page does not cover every system interface. Visit the Help Center for connection and troubleshooting categories, or read the Streaming Guide for choosing a server by viewing region.
iOS: Import a remote configuration by link
In an iOS client that supports subscription imports, find the Add configuration option, choose to add from a URL, clipboard, or remote file, and confirm the import. Once the client finishes reading the configuration, available regions will appear. On the first connection, iOS asks for permission to add a network configuration and may require confirmation with the device unlock method. After confirming with the system, return to the client; the connection switch will then take effect.
If the pasted content is incomplete after copying from the browser, return to Account Overview and copy it again. Do not complete the link manually. iOS and other platforms can use the subscription under the same account, with unlimited simultaneous devices; however, each device should complete the import in a trusted client and receive its own system network permission.
Choose a server, connect, and check the result
After the subscription refreshes, choose a region based on what you plan to access. For content tied to a specific region, prioritize the region where the target service is located. For general access to international websites, you can start with a geographically closer server. The list may include IEPL, relay, and direct routes. Beginners do not need to compare every technical parameter; choose a server matching the target region and test how the destination actually loads.
After selecting a server, start the connection and wait for the client to show Connected or for a network indicator to appear in the system status bar. Then open a browser and visit the target website you need to use, confirming that pages load, sign-in works, and browsing can continue. If the service displays content by region, also check that the page region matches the selected server. Loading an ordinary webpage does not necessarily mean the target service region matches, so verify against the actual destination.
If a page still shows the previous region after connecting, fully close the target app or browser tab and open it again. Some services retain earlier sessions and cached data, so they may not reassess the region immediately after a server change. You can also disconnect, switch to another server in the same region, and reconnect. After each switch, wait until the client clearly shows that the connection is complete before checking again, avoiding conclusions made before the connection is established.
Troubleshoot according to the current step
If you cannot sign in, the issue is usually at the account stage. First confirm that the username and password belong to the current account. If the plan is active but no servers appear in the client, return to Account Overview, copy the subscription again, and refresh it in the client. If servers appear but the connection cannot be established, check system network permissions and the client’s connection switch. If the connection succeeds but the target content does not match, try another server in the same target region.
Change only one condition at a time while troubleshooting. For example, keep the client unchanged and copy the subscription again first; after the refresh succeeds, test another server. Do not change the client, modify system settings, and switch regions repeatedly at once, or it will be difficult to tell which step restored the connection. When reporting an issue, note the device system, the connection status shown in the client, the selected region, and whether the problem occurred before import or after connection. Do not show the full subscription link in public screenshots.
This page focuses on completing your first connection, so it does not cover route mechanics, streaming-region behavior, or complex fault analysis. For account, connection, speed, and billing questions, continue to the Help Center. To learn about regional restrictions, server selection, and common errors across Streaming platforms, visit the Streaming Guide. After the first connection, you usually only need to refresh the subscription periodically and adjust the regional server when your access target changes.
