Account Settings

Account & Subscription

Resolve questions about account creation, subscription access, device changes, and client downloads.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No. ikVPN accounts are created with a username and password, with no email address required. Choose a username that is easy to recognize but not reused on other websites, and store your password securely. After creating the account, open the user panel to view plans, orders, and subscription details.

Where can I get my subscription link, and how do I update it later?

After signing in to the user panel, get your current subscription from the account overview or client downloads area, then add it through the import option in your client. When routes change, update the subscription or refresh the configuration in the client first. Avoid repeatedly creating configurations with the same name, which can mix old and new routes.

Do I need to choose a new plan after switching devices?

You do not need to choose a new plan when switching devices. ikVPN supports unlimited devices online at the same time. Sign in to the same account on the new device, retrieve the subscription again, and import it into the client. When an old device is no longer in use, delete its saved subscription configuration to avoid leaving account details on an idle device.

Which systems are supported, and where can I get the client?

Supported platforms are Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. This site does not provide direct links to static installation packages. Sign in to the user panel, open the client downloads area, and view the client and import instructions for your system. After installation, import the subscription from your account before available routes appear in the client.

Client Check

Connection & Troubleshooting

Trace the issue through subscription status, system permissions, app routing, and error messages.

I imported my subscription, but none of the routes connect. What should I do?

First confirm that the subscription updated successfully in the client, then quit the client completely and reopen it. Check that the system has granted the permissions required for network access, and temporarily close other tools that modify network paths to prevent configuration conflicts. If the connection still fails, try another route type and submit a ticket from the user panel with your system name, client name, and the exact error message.

Why can only one particular app not access the current route?

A common reason is that the app is not using the network path managed by the client, or a split-routing rule has set it to connect directly. Switch the client temporarily to a mode that covers all apps and compare the result. If access works, check the split-routing rule for that app. Some apps cache previous network results, so close and reopen them completely after changing the rules.

The system says it is connected, but webpages still use the old network path. What should I do?

Check with a different browser first to rule out browser cache or extension rules. Then confirm that the client is using an enabled remote route rather than a direct-connection configuration. If the client offers both system proxy and virtual network modes, reauthorize the connection as prompted by the system, and avoid running two network tools that compete for the default route at the same time.

The client says the subscription update failed. What should I check?

Return to the user panel and copy the current subscription again, checking for missing characters or extra spaces. Delete the invalid old subscription from the client, then add it through the client’s standard import option. If you can sign in on the website but the client still cannot update, record the complete error shown by the client and submit a ticket describing the system and client used. This helps distinguish import-format, network-path, and account-status issues.

Path Comparison

Speed & Routes

Compare the target region, route type, and local network conditions instead of switching randomly and repeatedly.

What should I do if performance slows down during peak hours?

Pause background sync, cloud transfers, and system updates, then compare other routes in the same region. If the target service does not require a specific region, try an exit location closer to you. If a specific region is required, switch route types within that region. Change only one condition at a time so you can determine whether the issue comes from the local network, route path, or target website.

How should I choose a region when visiting international websites?

Prioritize the region where the target service provides the content or where the account is based, rather than relying only on geographic distance. For regular websites and developer tools, try nearby regions first. For services with regional content, such as streaming platforms, choose an exit location matching the content you need. ikVPN covers 90+ countries / 200+ routes; narrow your options by region and route type on the nodes page.

How should I choose between IEPL dedicated, transit, and direct routes?

IEPL dedicated routes are better suited to situations where cross-border link stability matters. Transit routes connect through an intermediate entry point before reaching the target region, which can help when the direct path from your location is unstable. Direct routes take a more direct path, but their performance depends more heavily on current network conditions. Choose the target region first, then compare route types within that region.

Streaming or AI tools open, but usage is unstable. What should I do?

Being able to open a service only confirms that the basic connection was established. Continuous playback or long-running requests are also affected by the local network, exit region, and target service status. Confirm that the selected region meets the service’s requirements, close bandwidth-heavy background tasks, and try other routes in the same region. After switching, reopen the target webpage or app so it does not continue using the previous exit connection.

Order Rules

Billing & Refunds

Review monthly plans, data packages, upgrade handling, payment methods, and refund eligibility.

What monthly plans are available, and when does traffic reset?

Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Traffic resets monthly on the activation date. Review your recent usage before choosing a tier, and use the account records in the user panel as the authority for traffic information shown in the client.

Does a data package reset every month?

No. Data packages remain available until used and never expire: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. Unlike monthly plans, which reset each month on the activation date, they suit users with irregular usage who prefer to consume data gradually as needed.

How does upgrading a monthly plan mid-cycle work?

When you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. To avoid billing discrepancies, start the upgrade from the plan section of the user panel and verify the current plan, target plan, and remaining term on the confirmation page. Do not repeat the same operation. If the order status does not change promptly, keep the order record and check through a ticket.

Which payment methods are supported, and how do I request a refund?

Supported payment methods are Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. If you are not satisfied with your first payment, you can request a full refund within 14 days. Sign in to the user panel and submit a ticket with the relevant order and the issue encountered during use so the account and order status can be verified. The refund policy applies to the first payment; keep the order record before submitting your request.

Before You Submit

Make Your Issue Easy to Reproduce

If the category FAQs do not resolve the issue, organize your ticket using the information below. There is no need to provide account details unrelated to the problem.

Describe Your Environment

Include your operating system, client name, connection mode, and target service. If the issue occurs only in one app, also state whether your browser or other apps work normally.

Keep the Exact Error

Copy the complete error shown by the client or webpage instead of writing only that it does not work. The exact wording helps distinguish subscription imports, system permissions, route connections, and target-service responses.

List the Steps Already Tried

State whether you updated the subscription, restarted the client, switched to another route in the same region, and saw the same issue in other network environments. This helps avoid repeating the same checks.
